The Design is Clear

Our specialty prototyping project has stepped in to high gear. Obviously we can’t go in to the specifics here but needless to say it has involved the design and production of some pretty fancy test equipment. From creating easily editable OpenSCAD design files, creating new lower cost / more logical layouts, to machining key components from acrylic blocks, integrating the hardware components and then bench testing. Each time closer to a fully working beta destined for commercial testing. If we get the clearance for some photos we will upload them here…

Mt Clare

Massive works are underway at The Claremont. A massive tweak of the upstairs bar has included repairing / upgrading the PA system, servicing all amplifiers and controllers, cleaning and “neatening” all the existing lighting (and redoing the layout for maximum effect). The downstairs DJ box is back in the rear room and has been fulled serviced and pimped for 5 star quality (on both sides of the box). On the cards is the installation of the new Wi-Fi hot spot (run your office from the veranda with your laptop and a cold beer) and repairs to the veranda speaker system.

Spy Photos

We’ve dumped a stack of photos off our iPhones at last so we’ll start pasting them up (such as the shot above from the BKay Design Christmas Party we helped stage in December). Stay tuned.

Notebook Upgrades

This week saw yet another one of our A5 notebooks fill up with data, designs, notes and doodles. We thought we’d take a snapshot of a handful of the notebooks that we’ve filled over the years. Even with our fleet of servers, desktops, laptops, phones & spiffy software to match one can’t go past the simplicity, flexibility and transportability of the humble pen and paper…

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for 0b11111011011

Is it really that time of year again?

It seems there’s been a huge run on installs as people have geared up for Christmas Parties and the like. LED lighting on boats, home cinemas, small bar PA installs and more. We’re open (or on call) for the whole season (who else are you going to call at short notice!) should you need our help…

Prototype This

We really wish we could show you what we’re prototyping (on top of this pallet) but it’s going to be subject to a client patent so it’s a case of Non Disclosure. A shame really as it looks like an episode right out of MythBusters with hoses, fans, clamps, duct tape, gauges and a host of other gear bundled together! When it’s finished and in production we’ll revisit and show you what it is…

No News is Know News

A quick update of the site has been done – it’s mostly the steam powered gears getting a good clean, oil and a new paint jon for the machinery etc. WordPress has been upgraded to 3.0.1 along with all the modules, the slightly-unsightly header fixed and some of the plug-in fat trimmed.

Stand by for actual content updates shortly!

Extra, extra…

Every time we think it might be about to get quiet things suddenly get chaotic around here!

Portable PA rigs and stereo systems for boats, insurance work replacing lightning damaged telephone systems, audio improvements to small bars, plenty of new hosting clients, expanded storage facilities at our head office, client website updates and even a bit of automotive repair.

What do you need done today?

We’ll be cleaning up this site shortly to put all main news here and replace the home page to avoid any double up on information.

Double Lucky

We’ve been helping this super-swank small bar for some time now. PA upgrades & repairs, storm damage and more…

Bunnings

The big “B” – we seem to spend far too much time in these stores. Fasteners, paint, general stock and more. We’ve upgraded our Trade Account to cover all our new projects!
