The final straight in to the end of the Financial Year was certainly a sprint!
PA installs in the North West, building portable generator powered DJ rigs for charter boats and rewiring lighting damaged telephone system – just a little of what we’ve been spending our time on. Have a look in the projects page for more detailed info.

We are frequently asked by visitors to FIHQ “so what have you been doing?” and that really depends on how long you’ve got! In recent weeks we’ve designed and installed a custom VJ performance for a nightclub, headed up to the North West to consult on a PA installation, setup some hosting space for new clients, repaired intelligent lights, rehung commercial doors, reclaimed and reprocessed several hundred meters of hardwood, installed new office signage, consulted on half a dozen think tank projects, provided transport logistics for a distant client and continued to build our project studio for some recording /mastering / restoration projects. Our work continues to grow and expand and we’ve been updating our site with news of the latest projects. For up to the second info be sure to get our Tweets @factotumindust or follow us on Facebook. Our expansion has included both “outerspace” (clients / work) and “innerspace” (R&D, facilities) components. From work further afield in the state to recent upgrades to the building signage (it should make it easier to find our HQ in Osborne Park) & parts storage it seems we will be powering on in to the winter…

Well we made it to the New Year and we are continuing to power on in to the first quarter. Generating DXF art for CNC waterjet cuttings, wiring telephone panels, servicing intelligent lights, setting up new clients on our web / mail hosting plans – just some of the things keeping us busy… Check out the projects page if you haven’t done so already.

There hasn’t been an update in a few weeks – and for good reason! We’ve been absolutely flat out with a myriad of projects.
Here’s a few highlights : PA upgrades & repairs to new restaurant Alaturka, audio fault finding and upgrades to Double Lucky (an ultra-cool 25+ small bar in Leederville), remedial works to an installation in a club in Northbridge, assisting with a jukebox / PA system in Port Hedland, fitting out the swank new “Malibu” bar at the Cottesloe Beach Hotel with a PA, plasma TV and control system, programming and instructing staff in the use of DMX lighting control systems at One 20 Productions, fitting RF encoders for video distribution, transcoding video footage, building a fleet of new OEM PCs, servicing evaporative airconditioner plants, building new high-spec custom servers, welding repairs to warehouse doors, installing ID scanning systems, setting up new hosting accounts & migrating clients, answering countless esoteric questions… and that’s just the highlights!
We’ll have more updates “from the front” as we power in to the silly season.

Big news here at the warehouse is that Factotum Industries has been appointed as the official installers for One 20 Productions. While Damian and his team will continue to focus on equipment hire and promotions we here at Factotum Industries will be performing the specialist permanent install work for bars, clubs and other commercial clients. Here’s to symbiosis!
